October 10 through 12, 2008—Women's Weekend FABULOSA Fest on The Russian River in Guerneville, CA. Live Music, DJ's, Pool Parties, Independent Short Film Fest, Artisan Crafts Fair and YOU! Liquid Girlfriend will be performing on Sunday Oct 12 at 1:20pm at the Russian River Resort.
FABULOSA Fest is a bridge-building, inclusive, fund-raising women's festival to celebrate queer women-centered music and art. All women and friends are invited to attend and participate in this community gathering to raise money for good causes! Saturday September 27, 2008—"Divas of the Heart," hosted by Linda Zeiser and Carolyn Stull from 4:30pm to 9pm, will be at "The Oriental Tea Hose Restaurant" in San Leandro (at 604 MacArthur Blvd, San Leandro, CA 94577, about 2 blocks South of Oakland, off the 580 fwy at the Estudillo or Dutton exit)--and include a full Chinese buffet dinner! The event will feature 4 one-hour sets, including Shazam, Liquid Girlfriend (from 6pm to 7pm), Laura Zucker, and Amy Meyers. $25 (advanced reservations only) includes the full Chinese buffet dinner and the entertainment, and we hear that tickets are going fast.
